Hello Friends Welcome to Tech2 What is NavIC in Post How does NavIC work? Learn about
NavIC is the Navigation System of India. You can also call NavIC the GPS of India. Navigation System is needed for the country for many things. Navigation System is mostly used for the security of the country and today Navigation System is available to every person in the country. Has become urgent
Do you know when Pakistan had fraudulently captured the Kargil hill in Kargil war, India had asked for GPS access from the US so that the real location of the soldiers of Pakistan could be found but the US refused. The GPS access for the general public is a bit old and for Sefty Purpose.
But the access that the army has is 99.99% Accurate and Latest. If the US had given us GPS access in the Kargil war, then that war would have ended in no time and our brave soldiers would not have to lose their lives by taking inspiration from it. ISARO started working on its own Navigation System
What is NavIC?
NavIC has a full form (Navigation with Indian Constellation). It is the operational name IRNSS (Independent Regional Navigation Satellite System). IRNSS is an independent Indian Navigation System developed through India. IRNSS provides accurate information to its users in India.
IRNSS has also designed NavIC specifically to look after India and its surrounding areas (1500 km around India). NavIC is a huge achievement for India. IRNSS will provide 2 types of services to India.
1. SPS (Standard Positioning
Service)
2. RS (Restricted Service)
1.SPS (Standard Positioning Service)
SPS facility is provided to all users.
2.RS (Restricted Service)
RS is an Encrypted Service that is provided only to Authorized Users RS is much better than SPS Accuracy of RS (Range of 1 to 5 meters)
How many Satellites does NavIC have?
NavIC currently has 9 Satellites
IRNSS-1A
IRNSS-1B

IRNSS-1I
1.IRNSS -1A
IRNSS-1A is the first satellite of IRNSS. IRNSS-1A is placed geosynchronous orbit on 1 July 2013. It cost 1.25 billion to build IRNSS-1A. IRNSS-1A Satellit has two payloads Navigation Payload and Ranging Payload IRNSS- 1A has a life span of 10 years
2.IRNSS-1B
IRNSS-1B is the second satellite of IRNSS. IRNSS-1B was placed Geosynchronous orbit on 4 April 2014. IRNSS-1B is used to provide naval services. IRNSS-1B Satellit also has two payloads Navigation Payload and Ranging Payload IRNSS. Life span of -1B is 10 years
3.IRNSS-C
IRNSS-1C is the third satellite of IRNSS. IRNSS-1C was launched on 15 October 2014 by PSLV-C26. IRNSS-1C Satellit also has two payloads Navigation Payload and Ranging Payload IRNSS-1C has a life span of 10 years.
4.IRNSS-1D
IRNSS1-D is the fourth satellite of IRNSS. IRNSS-1D was launched on 28 March 2015 by PSLV-C27. It cost 14 billion to build IRNSS-1D. IRNSS-1D Satellit also has two payloads Navigation Payload And The life of CDMA Payload IRNSS-1D is 10 years
5.IRNSS-1E
IRNSS-1E is the fifth satellite of IRNSS. IRNSS-1E was launched on January 20, 2016. IRNSS-1E has 2 paylod Navigation Payload and CDMA Payload IRNSS-1D has a life span of 12 years.
6.IRNSS-1F
IRNSS-1F is the sixth satellite of IRNSS. IRNSS-1F was launched on 10 March 2016 via PSLV-XL C32. IRNSS-1F has a life span of 12 years.
7.IRNSS-1G
IRNSS-1G is the seventh satellite of IRNSS. IRNSS-1G was launched on 28 April 2016 through FLP Launch Pad.
8.IRNSS-1H
IRNSS1-H is the eighth satellite of IRNSS. IRNSS1-H was launched on 31 August 2017 via PSLV-C39.
9.IRNSS-1I
IRNSS-1I is the ninth satellite of IRNSS. IRNSS-1I launched under the supervision of URSC on 12 April 2018. IRNSS-1I is being counted as the eighth satellite as IRNSS-1I is the eighth satellite which has successfully launched in IRNSS constellations. Have done
What is payload?
Payload is the capability of an Aeroplane or Launch Vehicle which is usually measured for weight. Depending on the nature of the flight or mission, the payload of a vehicle may include cargo passenger, Flight Crew Profits Scientific Instruments etc. In addition to this, take fuel from Payload. It is also considered part of Payload ie Payload in Airline and Air Freight Carrier can refer only to Revenue generating cargo or paying passengers.
How does NavIc Mobile work?
To use NavIC, the user will have to take NavIC Support Mobile Phone. Recently, Qualcomm has launched 3 new processors for Mid-Range SmartPhone, one of them will be seen in the processors Redmi and a Realme Mobile Phone, which will be found in NavIC. Will fully support
These processors support Dual Frequency -L1 (1l 58 Ghz) L5 (1l 71Ghz) ie GNGR (Global Navigation Satellite System). These processors are designed for specific NavIC when Dual Frequency is used in Smart Phone. So You Can Avoid Multy Path Error
You can use GPST-East Name App to check Dual Frequency in your Mobile Phone. Some Processors like Kirin 990, Qualcomm 855, etc. support Dual Frequency. Currently, it is not known that SmartPhone Maker Compny update in these phones. Will give NavIC support through
NavIC will cover an area of 1500 Km. In and around India. You can use NavIC very efficiently through Ride-Helling Apps for NavIC using narrow streets, crowded areas, and delivery services.
Difference between NavIC and GPS
There is not much difference between NavIC and GPS.
GPS
1. GPS has 33 satellites through the US government, which is old, but over time the US government is replacing these satellites with new satellites.
2.GPS is a Global Position System
3. Accuracy of GPS for common people is 20 meters.
NavIC
1. Navic has 9 satellites out of which 2 are Fail i.e. Navic has 7 satellites. ISARO will try to add more satellites to this 7 2.Satellite Only is for India only.
2. NavIC only works in India and neighboring countries of India NavIC's Coverage is far better than in neighboring countries.
3. The Accuracy of NavIC for common people is also 20 meters.
Conclusion
In both NavIC and GPS, you will have Accuracy of 20 meters for Standrd Users, however using Cellular, the Accuracy of both can be up to 10 meters.
